Renaming and ZIP creation run in your browser. This tool does not upload your files or change the originals on your device.
Rename a batch without changing the file contents
Add your files, choose a naming pattern, and check the preview before downloading. A new base name automatically adds a number to distinguish each file. Prefixes and suffixes go before the original extension.
What changes—and what stays the same
The ZIP contains copies with the new names. File contents stay unchanged, and common file extensions are kept. Long or unsafe names may be shortened or cleaned. Renaming a HEIC file does not convert it to JPG, and renaming a document does not change its format. Original files on your device are not renamed or deleted.
Duplicate names and ZIP compatibility
If two proposed names match, including differences in letter case, a numeric suffix keeps both files. Characters that are unsafe in common filenames are replaced. Folder paths are not preserved; the ZIP puts all selected files at its top level.
Large batches and mobile devices
Creating a ZIP needs enough available browser memory for the selected files and the download. Use smaller batches if a mobile browser closes the page or cannot finish. Keep this page open until the ZIP is ready. The archive stores files without recompressing them, so do not expect a smaller download.
