Resize PDF pages
Prepare a PDF for A4, US Letter or another paper size. Fit the content without cropping by default.
What changes when you resize a PDF?
Fit content to the new paper
Fit inside scales each page uniformly, centers its content and keeps the full visible page within the selected margins. A4 and US Letter have different proportions, so some white space is normal. Mixed portrait and landscape documents keep each page orientation unless you choose otherwise.
Choose cropping only when you need it
Fill enlarges content to fill the available area and can cut off edges. Center leaves content at its original scale and can crop a page that is larger than the new paper. Stretch changes width and height independently, which can distort text and pictures. Fit inside is the safest starting point for ordinary printing.
Text stays selectable
This tool places the original PDF artwork into pages with the new dimensions rather than turning every page into a photo. Text and vector artwork remain in the PDF. The output page count and dimensions are checked, and uncropped pages are checked for retained selectable text. A scan still stays a scan: resizing does not add OCR.
Before uploading
Use an unsigned, unencrypted PDF with no form fields, annotations or links. These interactive elements are rejected rather than silently discarded. Up to 200 pages are supported. Bookmarks, document tags and attachments are not copied. Cropping is visual only: it does not securely remove hidden content. This is not a PDF repair, redaction or metadata-removal tool.
Questions about PDF paper sizes
Can I change A4 to US Letter without cutting off text?
Choose US Letter and keep Fit inside. Content is scaled uniformly into the new page. Margins and white space may change because the paper sizes have different proportions.
Can I enter a custom page size?
Yes. Enter width and height between 10 and 1000 mm. Margins must leave at least 1 mm of usable space on the shorter edge.
Does resizing make my PDF smaller in bytes?
Not necessarily. It changes paper dimensions, not the image-compression quality. Use Compress PDF afterwards if you need a smaller file.
Why are PDF forms and links rejected?
This page-placement method does not preserve interactive elements safely. Use a non-interactive source. Forms and visible annotations can be made permanent with Flatten PDF, but documents that still contain links cannot be resized here.
