Check added and removed text lines by page. Review the source PDFs separately for image, color, font or layout changes that this text comparison does not detect.
The comparison creates a separate result. Your uploaded source PDFs remain unchanged on your device.
Upload an original PDF and a revised PDF to see which extracted text lines were added, removed or left unchanged.
Put the earlier version in Original and the newer version in Revised. This determines whether a changed line appears as an addition or a removal. The comparison reads corresponding page numbers from each document.
This tool compares extracted text, not the page images. Changes to pictures, colors or fonts can go undetected when the text is the same. An image-only scan needs OCR before its words can be compared.
Recognize text in scanned PDFsThe downloadable HTML report groups detected text changes by page and shows totals for added, removed and unchanged lines.
Changing an amount from 100 to 125 can appear as one removed line and one added line. These counts describe extracted text lines, not the number of changed words, and a new line break can also affect the report.
Inserting a page near the beginning shifts the pages compared afterwards. Large page reports can omit extra lines from their preview, so use the original documents to review the complete context. A report with no detected changes does not prove visual equality.
Review the relevant clauses, values or instructions in both source PDFs before accepting a revised version.
After correcting a text-based PDF, compare the previous and edited copies to inspect the text changes. Also open the edited file to check positioning and appearance, which are outside this text report.
Make focused PDF editsIf two documents contain the same pages in a different order, create a correctly ordered copy before comparing them. Keep the source files so you can distinguish page rearrangement from wording changes.

It compares extracted text lines from corresponding pages in an original and a revised PDF. The report shows additions and removals; image, color and font changes are not compared.
Yes. The report can still identify differences, but pages added or removed between the files should be reviewed carefully.
No. LoveMyFiles creates a separate comparison result and leaves both uploaded PDFs unchanged.
