Choose a summary depth, review the generated points, and return to the source document when detail matters.
Brief selects up to four source sentences and Detailed selects up to eight, starting from the beginning of the readable text. Later pages may not be included when the limit is reached.
Image-only pages may need OCR before summarization can use their text reliably.
Check important names, numbers, dates, and decisions against the original PDF before acting on them.
The current summarizer selects source sentences in document order and shows their page references for checking.
Brief selects up to four qualifying sentences and uses the first two for its overview. Detailed selects up to eight sentences and uses the first three for the overview. Short documents may provide fewer points.
Each selected point includes its source page number. Open the original PDF at that page to read the surrounding passage. The preview uses source wording rather than writing a new explanation or identifying every important point across the document.
Clear paragraphs give a more useful reading preview than fragments, tables or image-only pages.
When no text is available anywhere in the PDF, the reader attempts English OCR. A mixed document can still have image-only pages whose words are missing from the extracted text. Use OCR separately and review recognition when scan coverage matters.
Review OCR text from a scanned PDFThe preview selects sentences long enough to form useful points. Headings, unusual punctuation or extracted column order can change those boundaries. Open the source if an excerpt combines unrelated text or stops before the detail you need.
A short excerpt helps you begin reading, but it does not replace a complete review of the PDF.
The sentence limit can be reached before later pages are included. Extract a relevant page range into a separate PDF when you want a preview of a later section, then summarize that copy.
Extract the relevant PDF pagesA summary preview does not identify how a document changed. Compare the original and revised PDFs when you need to review added or removed text lines, and check the full source for context.

It selects source sentences of at least 20 characters in page order and shows their page references. The overview joins the first two selected sentences for Brief or the first three for Detailed. It does not generate an AI summary or identify the main ideas across the whole document.
Brief selects up to four qualifying source sentences; Detailed selects up to eight. Selection stops at that limit, so later pages may not be represented.
Scanned pages may need OCR first because image-only content does not provide reliable text for summarization.
