Add a label or short correction

Add visual marks where they help
Insert an image for a logo or supporting graphic, use a translucent highlight for review, or draw a freehand mark. These additions become page content in the saved result; they do not automatically become editable PDF review comments.

Text replacement depends on readable text, usable font information and enough space in the original paragraph.
Keep replacements within the available space
When the editor detects a usable text run, you can replace it and adjust its appearance. A long replacement, unsupported character or unavailable font can prevent the edit. Shorten the wording or choose an available font, then inspect nearby text in the result.
Scanned words are part of the image
An image-only PDF has no original text runs for the editor to replace. You can add visible text, but doing so does not remove words in the page image. For extensive rewriting, an editable source document is usually more suitable.
