Meet an image-upload requirement
First convert the WebP to the required JPEG format. If the site also imposes a KB limit, compress the resulting JPG rather than changing the extension again.

Convert a WebP picture to JPEG for an upload form or an application that does not accept WebP. Choose the background used for transparent areas before converting.
Common formats stay in your browser. Advanced conversions are deleted from the server immediately.or drop images here
Use a JPG copy when an older app, a document editor or an upload form does not accept WebP. The important choice is not just the extension: JPEG cannot carry transparent pixels, so check the background before exporting a logo or cutout.
Add one WebP picture. The dedicated converter selects JPG output automatically; an animated WebP is treated as a still image, not an exported animation.
Choose the color that should replace transparent areas. Adjust JPEG quality and use optional resizing only when you want different dimensions.
Inspect the output around the subject, lettering and background. Compare its actual size, then download the JPG for the destination that requires it.
| Property | WebP input | JPG output |
|---|---|---|
| Transparency | May have transparent or partly transparent pixels. | Transparent areas are filled with your selected background color. |
| Motion | May be a still or animated image. | A single still image; animation is not retained. |
| Compression | Can already be lossy or lossless. | Lossy JPEG encoding can add artifacts to an already compressed source. |
| Dimensions | The decoded source width and height. | Kept unless you enable the resize option. |

Compress the converted JPGFor a logo, icon or isolated product image, PNG can be a better choice than JPEG. Choose it when you need the background to remain transparent.
Convert WebP to PNG insteadThat is how transparent WebP pixels become JPEG pixels. Select the intended background, or use PNG if transparency is part of the design.
JPEG compression can create ringing around sharp edges. Try a higher quality setting from the original WebP, or choose PNG for screenshots and text-heavy graphics.
The normal WebP-to-JPG path processes the image in your browser when its encoder is available. An unavailable encoder uses the local server fallback, where temporary copies are deleted after the request. The limit is 30 MB per file. Keep the source for future conversions; the downloaded JPG is a separate copy.

No. JPEG is a still-image format. This converter exports a still image rather than preserving the WebP animation.
JPEG cannot keep transparency or animation. A still WebP normally converts in your browser; only the first image of an animated source is used.
Your original file is not modified. Browser conversions do not upload the image. Server conversions use temporary copies that are removed immediately after producing the response, including on a conversion error.
