Place a typed, drawn, or uploaded signature on a PDF

Use the signature workspace to add a signature to a selected page and create a separate signed PDF for review.

01

Choose a signature method

Type a signature, draw one in the signature pad, or upload a supported PNG or JPEG signature image.

02

Place the signature on a page

Select the page, drag the signature preview into position, and review its placement before submitting the document.

03

Review the signed copy

The signature is placed into a separate PDF result. Open the file and confirm the page and position before sharing it.

Place a visible signature on selected PDF pages

Type a name, draw a signature or upload a signature image, then choose its position on the document.

Choose how your signature looks

Use typed text for a name or choose the drawing and image option for a handwritten appearance. Uploaded signature images can be PNG or JPEG. A clean image with a transparent background avoids a white rectangle covering the document.

Check the page and placement

Select the pages that need the signature and position it using the preview. Leave room around dates, labels and existing text. After downloading, inspect every signed page rather than relying only on the preview thumbnail.

A visual signature is not a digital certificate

Know what this tool adds before using the result in an approval or signing process.

Visible marks, not verified identity

LoveMyFiles places text or an image on the PDF page. It does not issue a signing certificate, verify the signer or create a certificate-based digital signature. Check the receiving organization's requirements when identity verification is needed.

Keep the unsigned original

Work on a copy, particularly if the source has existing digital signatures or interactive features. Rewriting a PDF can affect those features. A signature placed over page content does not erase the underlying information.

Finish the document before adding your signature

Complete page changes first so you can check the signature against the final layout.

Put the required pages in order

Remove unwanted pages or rearrange the document before signing. This makes it easier to confirm that each signature is on the correct version and page.

Organize the PDF before signing

Control who can open the copy

If the recipient needs a password-protected copy, apply an opening password separately and share it through an appropriate channel. Password protection does not turn a visible signature into a certificate-based signature.
